Firefox has its own spell checking and when the Karamasoft UltimateEditor is being used in the Firefox browser it appears that the spell as you type feature is automatically turned off and this karamasoft feature is not allowed to be used, thus allowing a symbol to be added without clearing out all the previous text you wrote.
In any version of IE the spell as you type feauture is turned on by defaut, thus clearing out all the previous text you wrote when adding a symbol. When you turn off the spell as you type feature it allows you to add a symbol without clearing out all the previous text.
This appears to be a bug when using symbols and the automatic spell check. If you can please confirm this issue it would be greatly appreciated. Our customer is looking forward to your response.
