Javascript error

I am currently evaluating the PanelSuite product.

We are getting the following javascript error when some users try to use the panel:

'ahv3jhoy[...].WDh6uDKj[...].b68y4N63' is null or not an object.

I have created a simple panel similar to the ClientPersistence example on the Karamasoft web site. I have the web app running on my development PC and on and development server. In both instances, when I use the panel, it works fine.

When another person uses the panel, it works ok when he is navigating to my development machine, but when they go to the development server, they get the above javascript error.

The XML that is used for the panel is as follows:

We tried the above xml file in our test system and everything works fine. Can you make sure that your panel control on the development server uses the same xml as above. Is there any significant difference between your development machine and the other user's machine so that you can see the page without an error but the other person gets the error. Did you try to open the page on the development server using a third user's machine.

By the way, did you mistype the error message in your original post: 'ahv3jhoy[...].WDh6uDKj[...].b68y4N63'. It should be b68y4N6E instead of b68y4N63. Can you also make sure that you did not change the javascript files in the script directory.

Thanks for the replies.

1. Yes, the everyone is using exactly the same XML file. It is generated at run-time, but it is definitely the same each time for each user.

2. The machines are very similar, both running Win XP Pro with Service Pack 2.

3. Haven't been able to test it under a third person's account at this stage.

4. Yes it was a typo. It should have been b68y4N6E instead of b68y4N63.

Any suggestions?

A further development. I have added a few menu items and now I am having the same problem on my machine.

The new xml is:

Is there anything in your NavMenu.css that would cause the page load very slowly? We tried the above XML code with one of our own CSS files and we couldn't replicate the problem you mention.

Your CSS file seems fine. When exactly are you getting that JavaScript error, when the page is loaded, or when you click on something? You also mentioned that you generate the XML dynamically. Can you make sure your code generates the above XML when you get this JavaScript error too or is it generating some other XML string that causes the problem?

It happens when the page is loaded, and when you move the mouse over one of the menu items. If you disable javascript errors, clicking the menu items navigates to the page, but the mouse doesn't change to a hand, and clicking the up or down arrows doesn't close/open the individual panels
