Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"

I would like all links created in editor by users to contain in “a” tags   links rel="nofollw"  &  target="_blank". Where can I edit it to make it default setting?

Besides did you fix color tags despairing, if so should I load the whole thing again from your site? Or is there a fix file?

Do you mean the editor or the menu since you posted in UltimateMenu section? rel attribute cannot be defined inside the editor. You can only add it manually in HTML tab. However, to change the other properties such as link type, URL, tooltip and target, click on the link in Design tab and click the Properties button (normally the last button in the editor). We have fixed the color issue and released it. You can download it from our website.

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"

The question was about editor. I’m talking about change your JS or what ever you use to generate link tag <a href=   etc. and simply add there rel  & target. I’m not even giving to my user option to view html, besides no one going to manually change any code because webmaster ask them to. I simply need to know where it is generating link tag and put my things in their. Is it JS part? This is important for us and it’s pretty much one of the last things we have to check before buy your control.

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"

It is handled in UltimateEditor.js under UltimateEditorInclude directory. The file is encrypted. There is no public property to set the default Target dropdown value. There is also no rel attribute for links. The "Shortcut Icon" and "Offline" rel values apply only to the link object. They don't apply to hypertext link element (a href). Please explain what exactly trying to achieve in terms of rel attribute.

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"

I simply need to have attributes  rel="nofollw" & target="_blank" inside any link created by Editor.
Example:  <a href=” userSite.com” rel="nofollw"  target="_blank"> userSite</a> . As use creat link   rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"   must be in.

So how would I edit you  .JS   just put my attributes in?  encryption?

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"
You cannot currently do that by updating the JS file because it is encrypted and not easily readable. If you let your users save their documents on the server-side instead of client-side, one workaround might be to update EditorHtml property of your UltimateEditor on the server-side before saving it. You can simply replace "<a href" with "<a rel='nofollow' target='_blank' href".

How would I disable “target” drop down on “create link” popup?

There is no API to disable it. Do you want to disable it permanently or dynamically?

Permanently. So users would not have an option to click & choose.

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"
The only option you currently have is to open UltimateEditor.js file, search for:

<select id="'+uea90+uej6+'">

and replace it with:

<select id="'+uea90+uej6+'" disabled>

and save it.

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"

You told me to that I can simply replace "<a href" with "<a rel='nofollow' target='_blank' href". But when user saves it several times they will have several rel='nofollow' target='_blank' and I simply need it to have one time. So your work around would not work so what should I do?

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"
Then change your replace statements so that it doesn't replace if it already has rel and target tags in it. One way to do it is to use regular expressions in your replace statement.

Re: Make created links rel="nofollw" & target="_blank"
We have tried the following in our Forums CS sample in Internet Explorer and it worked just fine:

protected void btnPost_Click(object sender, System.EventArgs e)

{

// Display status

lblStatus.Text = "Your post has been submitted successfully.";

UltimateEditor1.EditorHtml = UltimateEditor1.EditorHtml.Replace("<A href", "<A rel='nofollow' target='_blank' href");

}

You can send us your sample code and the exact steps to reproduce this behavior. Let us also know about what browser you are testing.
