 ClickOK Event not being caught on Postback
I am using VB.NET with Visual Studio 2005.  I am using version 2.0.2319.39406 of the control.  Our company has purchased the suite of controls, but this is the version they are currently using in the project.


I have the UltimateSpell control setup to Postback when OK is clicked (by setting PostBackOnOK="True")

The control does postback but the event is either not firing or not being handled by the method. 

The method was created by double clicking on the control and is displayed below:

Protected Sub spellChecker_ClickOK(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As Karamasoft.WebControls.UltimateSpell.ClickOKEventArgs) Handles spellChecker.ClickOK

SaveClick()

End Sub



Any ideas are welcome.

As you can see in the Important Notes section at http://www.karamasoft.com/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=40 you need to generate event handler methods yourself instead of copying the method in VB.NET only. If the problem persists please send us your whole app in zipped form so that we can look into the problem in our test environment.

I followed the steps,  I removed the existing handler, and added it again by selecting from the dropdowns at the top of the .aspx.vb file.

The page does postback when I click OK, but it does not catch the event. 

I am unable to send any code as it is a private company application.

Any more ideas on what to check?  Should I try getting the newest version?

I am using Master Pages?  Does this effect events?

It may be the sa but it should work fine as it does in user controls which is pretty similar to master pages. Have you checked the InitializeComponent where you should see the event handler statement as:
 
this.UltimateSpell1.ClickOK += new Karamasoft.WebControls.UltimateSpell.UltimateSpell.ClickOKEventHandler(this.UltimateSpell1_ClickOK);

Yeah, the application is VB.NET.  In my first post, I showed what the handler looks like. 

Basically, it is posting back, but no event is being fired.
