IgnoreInternetAddresses and colons
A client reported a bug to us and after researching it is appears that the issue actually comes from Ultimate Spell.

Should a incorrectly spelled word end in a colon then it will not be picked up. For example, coloon: will not be recognized as misspelled.

Ifwe set the IgnoreInternetAddresses option to False then it is picked up; however, the misspelling is obviously not a part of an internet address.

I do see an old thread in your forum from 3+ years ago reporting this and the response was to set the option to false. The thing is coloon: is obviously not an internet address, so this appears to be a bug.

Are there plans to correct this?

Thank you

You must be referring to http://forums.karamasoft.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=14078

Even though "word:" is not a valid Internet address, the colon character is treated as a special character for an Internet address when it is part of a word. You need to set the IgnoreInternetAddresses property to False to change this behavior.

Re: IgnoreInternetAddresses and colons
Thank you; however, this does not actually answer the question I asked. We know that we can set the option; however, using a colon after a word does not make it a web address.

I take it then that there are not any plans to enhance the product to allow it to pick up incorrectly spelled words that are followed by a colon. Is that correct?

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback. We will add your request to our future product enhancement list but we cannot promise a release date at this point.
