Service Certificate Error while running Spell Checker Service!!
Hi Team,
We are trying to integrate your spell checker tool into our existing Silver Light application.But we are getting error which says: "The service certificate is not provided. Specify a service certificate in ServiceCredentials"

We are following the below mentioned steps to do so:
Changes to web project
1) Copy following entire folder from KaramaSoft SL spell check binaries to our web application root folder
a) UltimateSpellInclude
2) Copy following DLL in common folder and include reference to web project
a) Karamasoft.Windows.Controls.UltimateSpellService.dll
3) SpellService should be running. This service is inside UltimateSpellInclude folder
a) http://localhost:52000/UltimateSpellInclude/SpellService.svc
Changes to Silver Light project(s)
1) If not found create file ServiceReferences.ClientConfig in shell project root. Modify SpellService.svc endpoint with your web site port
2) Copy following DLL’s in common folder and include reference
a) Karamasoft.Windows.Controls.UltimateSpellCoreSL.dll
b) Karamasoft.Windows.Controls.UltimateSpellSL.dll
3) Code implementation
Include spell check control on page where feature is needed.

Please suggest us some solution to rectify this problem.Also let me know in case I am missing something in above steps.

Thanks and Regards,
K***iz

Are you testing in https protocol? If so, you need to define the service certificate in the service credentials (config file or code-behind).

You may want to check the following posts:

Re: Service Certificate Error while running Spell Checker Service!!
Hi,
Thanks for the quick response! I am still facing some issue while integrating it and which is different from the one mentioned above.
I have included the "UltimateSpellinclude" in my Web project and configured Web config file like this :
<serviceBehaviors>
<behavior name="Service Behavious">
<serviceMetadata httpGetEnabled="true" />
<serviceDebug includeExceptionDetailInFaults="false" />
</behavior>
</serviceBehaviors>

But when I am trying to view the service in Browser ,it is giving me following error:

"The service '/UltimateSpellInclude/SpellService.svc' cannot be activated due to an exception during compilation. The exception message is: The ChannelDispatcher at 'http://localhost:52007/UltimateSpellInclude/SpellService.svc' with contract(s) '"SpellService"' is unable to open its IChannelListener."

Also note when I am trying to repeat the above steps in newly created SilverLight application,my service is running absolutely fine. I have tried searching google also but failed to find any appropriate solution.

Please assist me in this.

Is there any inner exception message that has more information?

We don't know exactly what might be causing the issue without seeing your app or how you use our component. Are you having any issues with the demo app that comes with the installation?

We did some search on the exception and found the following links which may help you resolve the issue:

Re: Service Certificate Error while running Spell Checker Service!!
While this issue has been fixed now. There was some problem in my config file. now the service is running fine and I have added reference of two DLL's namely Karamasoft.Windows.Controls.UltimateSpellCoreS and Karamasoft.Windows.Controls.UltimateSpellS in my silver light module. The service refernce. Client config is also added and user control is used in XAML file.

The Spell check button is also displayed on screen but when I click on it I am getting the following error: Please note I am trying to use Word Like Dialog functionality.

-> An error occurred while parsing EntityName. Line 56, position 33.

We need more information about your XAML and how you initialize your text controls. Please reply with your code so that we can better understand what might be causing the issue.

Re: Service Certificate Error while running Spell Checker Service!!
I am sorry but because of the huge file size and so many integrated controls I am unable to post the code here. Actually when I am trying to run the spell check on a stand alone page of my application it is giving me proper result but as soon as I put the control on my pages which consist of Header controls and Left navigation panels ,it is bombing. Thus are there any specific step which I should follow to make it work for controls containing header? Also how can I get to know which part of my code is problematic for DLL functionality? If this issue is known and has happened to other Karmasoft Spell checker user ,can you please provide me the link for the same? Any way we can debug the spellchecker library?

Re: Service Certificate Error while running Spell Checker Service!!
This is not a known issue and we can't figure out what exactly might be causing the issue without seeing your code.

You should either start with a blank page and add controls to it one by one until your page breaks, or you can start commenting out your other controls (header, footer, etc.) in your page until the issue is resolved.
