Failed to Map the Path
Hi, sorry I'm posting again.  This time i have a sporatic error.  Every once in a while when a user clicks on a control on my page which causes the page to re-generate itself, display different controls and enable the spell checking they get the following error:
"Failed to Map the Path '/MyAppName/UltimateSpellInclude/Language/English.xml".

This may happen only a few times a day, even though the users are pretty much clicking this control all day long.  i'm not changing the permissions on the directory or anything like that and there was nothing else i could think of.  anything i found on google didnt seem to apply, so i wanted to know if you have seen this error before with your spell checker.

I have a screenshot of the stack trace as well if there is somewhere i can send it if that would help.

Thanks,
Thom

Re: Failed to Map the Path
If this issue happens intermittently, it might occur when the app domain is
restarted by editing web.config file or publishing a new dll to your production machine, or recyclign your application pool. Can you pinpoint when exactly the error is happenning or is it just random?

Re: Failed to Map the Path
it seems to be rather random.  the dll and config file is not being edited, it is possible that the application pool recycles occasionally, but i dont think it can be recycling as many times as the error has appeard.  are there any other causes that might be possible?  The message just under this error in the stack trace mentions MapPathSlowUsingIISCore, i had searched google for this as well but found nothing i thought to be pertinent.

There was a similar post to yours in our Support Forums at http://forums.karamasoft.com/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3468 and we couldn't reproduce the problem. It seemed that using Multiple Dictionaries was causing the error intermittently, which sounded like the problem might be related to Application Pool being recycled behind the scenes.

Re: Failed to Map the Path
Hello, Karamasoft support:

I am experiencing this exact issue as well.  I am using the ultimatespell.dll dated 11/07/09, so it is pretty current.  I have all the same symptoms -- it is a sporadic problem, but is happening more often than the application pool should be recycling (unless it is recycling due to circumstances of which I am not aware).  For example, I have a report of the same person receiving the error several times last Friday and again this morning.  Another user (so it is not happening only to the first person) also reported the error.  I cannot make the error occur, however, even if I manually recycle the app pool while I am accessing the application.

Do you have any updated information on this issue?

Thanks!

Re: Failed to Map the Path
We don't have any update on this issue. What are the main differences between your development machine and your production web server in terms of the operating system, website settings on IIS, 32-bit vs 64-bit, etc? If you give us more information about your specific environment, we can help you better. Thanks.
